What are the types of breast implants?

There are basically two types of implants:

Saline Filled Implants

Saline-filled implants are filled with sterilized saline and held in an elastic silicone shell. A saline solution may leak. Don’t worry, the body will absorb the solution and expel it. This type is suitable for women 18 years and older.

Silicone Filled Implants

Silicone-filled implants are filled with silicone gel held within a silicone outer shell. If a silicone implant leaks, the gel may remain on the surface or escape into the implant pocket. How is Breast Augmentation surgery performed?

Since you will be under general anesthesia during the procedure, you will not feel any pain. The surgeon will make a small incision in one of the following areas, depending on the type of implant you want

Under the chest

Near the outer edge surrounding the nipple.
Under the armpits.

Above the navel

The surgeon will place the implant in a pocket above or below your pectoral muscle. After the implant is placed in the right place, the surgeon will close the incisions with sutures and cover your breasts with gauze.
This process usually takes one to two hours.
