What is Vaginoplasty (Vagina Tightening)?
Vaginoplasty, that is, vaginal rejuvenation or narrowing, is the name given to all of the surgical procedures performed to restore and rejuvenate the vagina, which has deteriorated due to age or childbirth. Vaginoplasty is a procedure applied to tighten the muscles that make up the vagina and to reshape the vagina by narrowing it. Thus, a more comfortable sexual intercourse can be achieved. Vaginoplasty is applied not only to correct deformities that may occur after birth or advanced age, but also to correct genetic vaginal deformations.
Why Does the Vagina Relax?
While the main reason for vaginal enlargement is the high number of births, some women have a structural loosening even without giving birth and the vaginal muscles are weak. During normal delivery, the muscles in the vagina become very weak. The incisions made in the mouth of the vagina in order to ensure a comfortable passage of the baby further reduce the muscle strength. As the number of births increases, it becomes more difficult for the vagina to return to its original shape. Muscle-strengthening exercises may be partially beneficial in treatment. Postoperative
It will be sufficient to pay attention to personal hygiene after vaginoplasty surgery, and to regularly perform the care and applications recommended by the doctors. Although the surgery does not cause serious pain, it is normal to have pain, swelling and light spotting for a few days.
